In 2003, a resident in a prestigious neighborhood hired Gallivan Corporation for extensive landscape design services.
Gallivan Corporation was brought in to make changes to the originally installed landscape. This project entailed the creation of a Master Plan that would be gradually phased in over a few years to fit the client's needs and budget.
The project scope was significant as the design aspect had to be carefully planned out due to the layout of the property(corner lot) and its tricky sloping. Most of the backyard was unusable, therefore approximately 1,500yards of fill had to be trucked in, excavation was then done to create multi-levels or grades. The homeowner wanted an outdoor living space that included a bar and grill area for entertaining, a gas fire pit, private patio areas, hot tub and spa, several water amenities, landscape lighting and a play area for children.
Gallivan Corporation began phase one immediately and slowly incorporated phases two(raising the level of the back yard and three(installation of swimming pool, patios, bar area and fire pit) into the fold until the project was completed in 2007.
Proper planning and execution were important elements of this particular project. Gallivan Corporation turned what was essentially unusable space into one of the most unique and creative outdoor living areas that serves as an extension of the residents home.
